Located on the summit of Gongchen Mountain, 1 kilometer southeast of Lin’an Town, the tower is named after Qian Wushou, who was enfeoffed as a meritorious prince. It was originally built by the King of Wuyue during the Five Dynasties, Qian Wushou, in the first year of the Zhenming era of the Later Liang Dynasty (AD 915). Declared a provincial key cultural relics protection unit in 1963.
The tower has a square plan, divided into 5 levels, with a total height of 20.30 meters. It features a single-walled barrel-shaped structure with wooden floors inside, and on the exterior, each level has engaged columns, flat columns, corner columns, eaves beams, and waist strings. The middle part of each layer is a door, and the top of the door is decorated with a ceiling well. The eaves are supported by double arches, and the flat seats are supported by single arches. The iron components at the top of the tower consist of a cover bowl and a treasure vase, with the tower body tapering at each level, and the lower part of the base also tapering inward, quite reminiscent of the Tang Dynasty style. Open from January 1 to December 31, 07:00-17:00 daily.Meritorious Tower
