Zhexi Dawalongwan was originally named Zhexi Tiantan. Belonging to the remaining veins of Huangshan Mountain, the scenic area was developed relatively late. Therefore, it is a pristine canyon, gathering landscapes such as stones, waterfalls, pools, valleys, and forests. In the scenic area, most of the strange stones are ‘unique’; the springs and waterfalls are of high quality and excellent, which is a ‘beauty’; the valleys are dangerous and steep, which is a ‘wonder’; the sky beach is wide, flat and clean, which is a’magnificent sight’.


There is also the site of Longjing Temple, an ancient temple with a history of thousands of years, the mysterious 7120 underground headquarters during the cultural revolution turmoil, the long Huizhou ancient bridge, and the cliff stilted buildings as a’mystery’. In March of spring, the scenic area is full of colorful mountain flowers. Rhododendrons, wild peach blossoms, wild cherry blossoms and many unknown red, yellow, blue and white mountain flowers are everywhere.


The scenic area is 30 kilometers deep and consists of five major scenic areas: Tiantan Food Street, Watching Fish in the Green Lake, Magnificent Stone and Strange Waterfall, Canyon Adventure, and Tiantan Magnificent Scenery, twenty-eight scenic spots and other cultural landscapes. The scenic area is shaded by green trees, with groups of waterfalls. The stream water is crystal clear. The towering giant stones that suddenly appear, the mysterious Longtan with unfathomable depths, the natural bathing place better than the Yaochi in the heavenly realm, and the wonderful kilometer-long sky beach and other natural wonders.


There are also mountain residential buildings constructed along the natural mountain topography. Combining the original ecology with the ancient style of Wu and Yue, it forms a unique human and natural landscape.
