The predecessor of Zhijiang Campus of Zhejiang University is Zhijiang College. Now it is the campus of Guanghua Law School of Zhejiang University. The entire campus is built along Zhijiang Road by the Qiantang River and on the mountain. There is a relatively complete modern university building complex. There are very few tourists here. It is a good place for taking pictures and relaxing. The school gate is relatively hidden.

After getting off, walk up a short flight of steps on the mountain. Seeing the words ‘Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University’ engraved on the stone tablet, it is considered the school gate. Enter by registering your ID card and then start touring on foot. The campus is not large. You can walk southwest all the way. After touring the entire campus, exit through the back door. Or walk towards Building 15.

The lover’s lake nearby has green water. There is a stone bridge on the lake, which is a very romantic place on the entire campus. The distinctive main building, Shensi Hall, bell tower, and library on the campus are concentrated in the northeast corner near the main entrance and are easily found by following the main road. Entering the gate, the first thing that catches the eye is a large camphor tree.

The luxuriant branches and leaves stretch upward, showing the long history of this school. Walking up the steps, the first thing you reach is the bell tower. Passing through the bell tower is a small garden and the main building covered by a large number of green trees. The arched doors and windows and the stone pillars in front of the door have an obvious Western style. This is a place with a high appearance rate on the campus.

There will also be some people taking wedding photos and shooting movies here for exterior scenes. For example, ‘The Left Ear’ and ‘Aftershock’ have both filmed here. Following the signs and walking up the hillside along the path, there are several hidden old houses. The ones worth seeing are the Upper Red House and the Lower Red House. These two villas are both over a hundred years old. With round arch corridors and carved pillars, they retain traces of ancient Roman architecture and are quite exquisite.

John Leighton Stuart once lived in the Upper Red House. Many tourists also come to Zhijiang College specifically to look for this place. These small villas cannot be visited inside. The ivy on the windows and the old exterior walls exude a sense of history. The surrounding paths themselves are also very beautiful. With a random shot, it is a good sketch. The Zhijiang cafeteria of the school is near the back door.

Its reputation is far inferior to that of Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University. Moreover, usually, you need to use a card for dining. After coming out of Zhijiang College, opposite is the Qiantang River. To the left is the Liuhe Pagoda. To the right, you can go to Jiuxi Yan Shu. None of these are too far. You can go there by bus, on foot, or by taxi.
