Moonlight Island is located in the central lake area of Thousand Islands Lake. Originally named Wulong Island, it continues the old place name of the underwater Wulong Bridge. It is composed of four parts: Lock Island, Bird Island, Zhenqu Garden, and Qishi Island, and is one of the earlier developed attractions of Thousand Islands Lake. Later, it was renamed to ‘Moonlight Island,’ a name derived from the shape of ‘Moon Bay’ formed by five islands in the lake.

Among the five small islands of Moonlight Island, four themed islands are named ‘Love Garden,’ ‘Bond Garden,’ ‘Heart Garden,’ and ‘Dream Garden,’ while the nameless island is known as the detached ‘E Garden.’ The entire island highlights the theme of love culture, with love as the thread and scenery as the support, featuring poetic romance and unique charm. ‘Love Garden’ is themed around lock culture, where couples or friends can hang love locks. ‘Bond Garden’ is a sacred place for wedding photography. ‘Heart Garden’ is a place for parents to pray for their children’s success. ‘Dream Garden’ is composed of the top scholar’s strange carvings, the top scholar’s temple, and the top scholar’s museum, showcasing the culture of top scholars. The latter ‘E Garden’ is a luxurious leisure park where one can enjoy tea and moon viewing, allowing thoughts to roam freely. Open all year round from 08:00 to 15:00.
