Xiling Bridge

Xiling Bridge, together with Changqiao Bridge and Duanqiao Bridge, is known as one of the three lover’s bridges on West Lake. It is located between the foot of Xixia Ridge and Gushan Mountain. It is an antique circular arch stone bridge, also known as Xilin Bridge. In ancient times, it was originally a picturesque ferry. The so-called ‘ferry calling place in Xicun’ and’seek for the beautiful place by sailing towards Xiling’ in ancient people’s poems and paintings refer to this place. Standing on Xiling Bridge, one can have a close view of Lihu Lake and a distant view of Waihu Lake. It is to the west of Gushan Mountain and can lead to Beishan Mountain. Baidi is close at hand and Su Causeway is faintly visible. Not only is its geographical location good, but also its historical sites and anecdotes are reminiscent.
