Located in the West Lake District, Zhejiang Library was established in 1900 and originally known as the Hangzhou Book Collection Building. The library is renowned for its extensive collection of rare ancient books and comprehensive local documents, attracting numerous ancient book enthusiasts for reading. It has introduced modern services such as the World Digital Library, 24-hour self-service libraries, mobile library services, self-service borrowing and returning systems, and digital cloud reading experience rooms, making it very convenient for visitors.


The library is open all year round from 09:00 to 21:00. No reservation is needed from Tuesday to Friday, but reservations are required for weekends and holidays.
