As one of the core scenic areas of the national key scenic spots of Tiantai Mountain, the scenic area is 2 kilometers away from Tiantai County. With strange rocks, unique peaks, beautiful waters and secluded valleys, it interprets the natural wonders of Tianhu Lake. A secluded valley is lined with towering strange rocks. Three lakes are stacked in layers, waterfalls are in groups, green mountains are reflected, and the scenery is as verdant as if dyed.
The essence of Tiantai Mountain’s landscapes is all gathered here. ‘Green lakes, secluded pools, flying waterfalls and flowing springs’ is an especially ideal portrayal of the waters of Tianhu Lake. The vastness and openness of the upper Tianhu Lake, the unique clarity of the middle Tianhu Lake, and the delicacy and charm of the lower Tianhu Lake give the three lakes their respective charms and are thought-provoking. The ‘narrow strip of water’ running through the three lakes respectively forms multiple waterfalls full of movement and melody. From top to bottom in the Tianhu Scenic Area, there are lakes, waterfalls, pools or springs, playing the unique, delicate, charming and dynamic water movement of Tianhu. It really has the artistic conception of ‘suspecting it is a fairyland on the jade terrace, flying among the blue clouds’. Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
