The catchment area of the reservoir is approximately 12.8 square kilometers, with a total storage capacity of about 1.68 million cubic meters. The main dam stands at approximately 25 meters high, with a crest length of about 155 meters and a width of about 5 meters, and is a clay core dam. The construction of this reservoir has resolved the irrigation issues for the villages of Rulu, Jinshan, and Fanjiabian in the original Jinxi Township, as well as Zhishan, Wu Fengtang, and Zhonglian in the Sanhe Township.
