The Shaoxing Grand Theatre is a landmark cultural facility, located in the city’s commercial center. It is bordered by the bustling Jiefang Road to the east, the Shaoxing City God Temple – Fu Heng Street to the south, the ancient city moat to the west, and the city square to the north.
The architectural style of the theatre is unique, featuring a steel structure framework that blends the charm of the ancient city with the spirit of the times. The gray levels are combined with a light-sensitive glass curtain wall, and under the illumination of lights, it resembles a large ship forging ahead in the rapids.
The theatre is equipped with performance functions for operas, dance dramas, local operas, and variety shows, and is also capable of hosting high-standard international conferences.
