Qinglian Temple is one of the scenic spots in Chao Shan. The temple is surrounded by towering trees, shaded by lush woods, and adorned with lush bamboo groves. A shaded path of 265 steps winds its way up, making it an ideal place for summer retreat and spring outings.
Inside the temple, there is a mountain spring that flows continuously, merging into a pool. The water temperature and water level remain the same throughout the seasons, regardless of drought or flood. This is a rare treasure in the world. According to the ‘Tang Lou Records’: (Qinglian Temple) “The temple path is secluded, with peach blossoms in spring, ripe bayberries in summer, and the water in the pool inside the gate is clear and crisp. There is an osmanthus tree and a camellia tree, both of which are relics from previous dynasties.”
Qinglian Temple is a thriving place of worship. After reconstruction, it has regained its solemn and majestic presence, attracting many devotees to offer prayers and blessings. The temple is open all year round from 8:00 to 15:00.
