Qixia Cave is located on Qixia Ridge of Gem Hill, on the backside of West Lake. It is one of the five caves of Qixia Ridge, easily accessible by heading north from the east of Yue Temple. Legend has it that in the past, when spring arrived, peach blossoms would bloom abundantly here, resembling a sky filled with rosy clouds, hence the beautiful name. Qixia Ridge is rich in historical sites, with lush flowers and trees, clear mountain springs, and is particularly known for its five natural caves. Over time, the old Qixia is no longer visible to us, with only remnants of broken walls and ruins left behind, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Qixia Cave is now sealed, with a Buddhist niche and incense offerings at the entrance, as well as stone tables and chairs. Although the captivating views are no longer there, the tranquility remains. Taking a short walk in the mountains and resting here for a while can be quite refreshing and invigorating. The cave is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
