Master Hong Yi’s Stupa, which houses the master’s relics, is a remarkable architectural feat. The interior top of the tower is adorned with a web-like structure of imitation wooden brackets, reminiscent of the intricate work of spiders. This design is layered to enhance the spatial effect within the tower, creating a unique and aesthetically pleasing environment.
Renowned for his profound knowledge in fine arts, calligraphy, music, and Buddhist studies, Master Hong Yi is celebrated as one of the three great modern monks, alongside Tai Xu and Yin Guang. His contributions to these fields have left a lasting legacy.
The site, which serves as a tribute to Master Hong Yi’s life and work, is open to visitors year-round. Visitors can explore the stupa from 08:00 to 17:30, providing ample opportunity to appreciate the architectural and cultural significance of this important monument.
