Heishan Mountain is located within Shangwang Village, Xindeng Town, Fuyang District. The mountain rises abruptly from the flat ground, like a crouching lion looking around arrogantly. Looking up, it is extremely magnificent. According to ‘Records of Buddhist Temples in Wulin’ by Wu Zhijing of the Ming Dynasty, there was a nunnery on the mountain which was destroyed in the Yuan Dynasty. In the past, Su Zizhan and Yao Ci’an toured here and left rhymed works. Lin Jiantai, the magistrate of Xindeng in the Ming Dynasty, presented an inscription with a boat-shaped wedge. Open all year round and open all day.
