Xishan National Forest Park is located in the central part of the West Lake District in Hangzhou, which is actually a shorthand for the western mountains of Hangzhou. The area is now enclosed and designated for citizens and tourists to visit and enjoy. Here, you can find the highest peak in Hangzhou’s urban area, Ruyi Jian, offering a panoramic view of the ancient and modern city of Hangzhou.
Within the park, there are natural attractions such as the ‘White Dragon Flying Waterfall’, one of the largest natural waterfalls in Hangzhou, and the geological cave ‘Lingshan Cave’. The park is also rich in historical and cultural relics, with numerous poems, songs, and cliff inscriptions left by famous figures such as Su Dongpo and Zhu Xi, as well as the tomb of the Qing Dynasty’s top merchant Hu Xueyan. The newly constructed Xishan hiking trail spans 108 kilometers, allowing visitors to walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery of clear mountains and waters, surrounded by greenery, in a leisurely and peaceful manner. The park is open all year round, 24 hours a day.Xishan National Forest Park
