Hangzhou Olympic Sports and Expo City is located on the north bank of the Qiantang River in Hangzhou, to the east of the Qiantang Third Bridge – in the Binjiang New Town and the Qianjiang Century City area of Xiaoshan District. The core area includes an 80,000-seat main stadium, a 18,000-seat main gymnasium, a sports swimming center, the International Expo Center (the main venue for the Hangzhou G20 Summit), a comprehensive training center, Qianjiang Second Road (Bin Sheng Road) underpass tunnel, super high-rise twin towers, and real estate above the Olympic Sports subway station, among other projects.
It is a large urban complex with sports and exhibition functions as the main focus, integrating culture, commerce, tourism, residence, performance, food, leisure, vacation, shopping, and other functions.The Hangzhou International Expo Center, as the main venue for the G20 Hangzhou Summit, is located in the northeast corner of the Olympic Sports and Expo City. It is composed of an exhibition center, conference center, hotel, sky garden, and city living room, among other parts. The G20 Summit utilized approximately 170,000 square meters of the International Expo Center, with the main spaces including the reception area, conference area, and luncheon area, which are also the three areas open to the public.
When visiting, one can start from the second floor, passing through the drop-off platform, reception hall, and reception hall, then take the escalator to the main venue on the fourth floor, followed by the luncheon area on the fifth floor and the rooftop garden. The opening time is all year round, open all day.
