Fayun Ancient Village is located next to the Lingyin Scenic Area, adjoining Lingyin Zen Temple, and is one of the earliest residential areas in Hangzhou. It is said that Qian Yuan deep within the village was once the location of the ancient county office. The village retains a large number of traditional residential buildings with historical charm, featuring grey walls and black tiles, exuding an antique atmosphere.
Most of the ancient village has now been developed into the Amanfayun Hotel, while other buildings are open for visitors to explore. However, the undeveloped areas are almost devoid of tourists and residents, offering a quiet and pristine experience.
