Oulongxi Scenic Area is located in the southeast of the Forest Park, covering a total area of 645.34 hectares. The area is home to three major streams: Oulongxi, Youlongxi, and Wolongxi. Additionally, it features historical and cultural sites such as Yuanzhao Ancient Temple, century-old trees, peculiar rocks, and stone carvings. Known for its majestic peaks, mysterious caves, serene valleys, strange stones, lush woods, and spiritual waters, the park boasts dense forests, a rich variety of species, and abundant plant resources, including more than 120 families and 800 species. Pine, cypress, maple, Chinese toon, and bamboo are the main tree species, with natural deciduous, shrub, grass, and vine plants mixed among them. In the forest and on the slopes, azaleas, wisteria, roses, lespedeza, white kerria, and light bamboo are scattered throughout. At the foot of the mountain, apricot, peach, pear, citrus, and jujube trees compete in beauty and fragrance, each with its unique characteristics, intertwined and layered, creating a vibrant tapestry of green and colorful flowers with red, yellow, white, and purple hues against the dark green backdrop. As the seasons change from spring to summer, autumn, and winter, the area becomes a canvas for a variety of splendid and colorful scenes. In early spring, the trees are lush and vibrant, with a profusion of flowers resembling a rich tapestry, peach and apricot blossoms resembling drops of cinnabar, while plum and pear blossoms are as white as snow. Early summer brings lush foliage and a comfortable coolness. In the golden autumn, the mountains are painted with red leaves, and the fragrance of ripe fruits fills the air. In the depths of winter, the forest is covered in snow, with the mountains dressed in silver, and the trees adorned with silver flowers. Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:30.
