The Ba culture park is located in the Longzhouwan New District of Banan District. The entire park covers an area of 365 mu and is a park with Ba culture as the theme. The park is themed with Ba culture and is divided into seven landscape areas and 24 scenic spots, including wetland waterscape garden, Ba township style garden, plant landscape garden, folk culture garden, Bayu epic garden, ecological landscape forest area, and fitness and leisure activity area.
Banan is the central area of early Ba people’s activities and the birthplace and development base of ancient and modern Ba culture. Building the Ba culture park is to reproduce 3,000 years of Bayu culture and let people know the development history of Chongqing society. The Ba culture park takes 24 Ba people’s stories as the main line. The park takes four tourist routes as clues, divides according to these story contents, and then displays them through bluestone carvings. Citizens can experience and feel Ba culture through four tourist routes: Ba people’s bravery tour route, farming tour route, migration tour route, and sacrifice tour route. A total of more than 20,000 high-quality trees with a diameter of more than 8 centimeters, such as ginkgo, bodhi tree, camphor tree, liquidambar, osmanthus, Michelia figo, Phoebe zhennan, Magnolia grandiflora, and crystal grape peach, have been planted in the park in Banan District. More than 10,000 small trees that bloom in different seasons, such as magnolia, red plum, crape myrtle, cherry blossom, red leaf plum, peach blossom, begonia, and wintersweet, make the scenic area present an ecological garden landscape of ‘romantic spring flowers, lush summer shade, golden autumn colors, and verdant winter scenery’.
