The Alibaba Xixi Campus, also known as Taobao City, is the headquarters of the well-known Internet company Alibaba Group. It is located at 969 Wenyi West Road (at the intersection of Higher Education Road), Yuhang District, Hangzhou City. It is in Wuchang Street, the core area of Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City. The Alibaba Xixi Campus is bordered by Chang’er Road to the east, Chuangxin Road to the south, Higher Education Road to the west, and Wenyi West Road to the north.
The planned total area is 260,000 square meters. The first-phase project consists of 8 single buildings and 2 parking buildings, including basic facilities for daily office and leisure such as the main office area for employees, cafeteria, gym, lecture hall, and film projection hall. The total construction area is approximately 290,000 square meters. The design of the main building is undertaken by the Japanese design master Kengo Kuma.The campus is not open to the public at all times. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
