Yongxi Ancient Town, nestled at the foot of the Bayue Mountain, was originally established during the Tang Dynasty. The existing residential buildings in the ancient town date back to the Qing Dynasty’s Daoguang period, making them a century old and exemplifying the traditional residential architecture of Eastern Sichuan. The town is adorned with ancient buildings, including old tea houses, liquor factories, and oil pressing factories scattered throughout. Among these, the most representative structures are the ancient theater building, which was first constructed during the Daoguang period, and the City God Temple, which has a history of over 300 years. These ancient structures showcase a rich historical and cultural heritage.
