Yunyang has a long history and rich relics. The start of the Three Gorges Project led to the extensive excavation of these cultural relics. Tens of thousands of unearthed cultural relics are available. The museum displays important artifacts and uses advanced display techniques for different categories to make the exhibition more attractive and inspiring, and closer to reality, life, and the masses. Yunyang County Museum has a total construction area of 6,021.9 square meters and a usable area of 3,447 square meters. The interior decoration and exhibition cost 13 million yuan. It includes three major functional areas – tourist reception center, the basic exhibition ‘Eternal Charm of Quren’ and the special exhibition ‘Three Gorges Resettlement’. Opening hours: Open from 9:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year; closed all day on Monday throughout the year.
