Shizhu River is renowned for its numerous stone pillars distributed along the steep cliffs on both banks, resembling bamboo shoots, hence the name. The river spans 12.5 kilometers, starting from Shuanghekou (the junction of Feng, Li, and Yun) in the north and ending at Da’andong in the south. The width of the river varies between 20 to 200 meters. The longest stone pillar stands approximately 200 meters high, completely detached from the surrounding rocks. It is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
