The Kong Yuan at the Chongqing Huangshan Anti-Japanese War site was built in the 1930s. It was once the private villa of Kong Xiangxi and thus got its name Kong Yuan. Kong Yuan is composed of the main building and ancillary buildings. It is a typical courtyard-style apartment. Because the villa is built among osmanthus tree groups, it is also called Guitang.
