Fubao Ancient Town is located on the southern border of Sichuan Province, by the Dacao River. As early as the Tang and Song dynasties, it was a necessary place on the salt road for Sichuan salt to enter Guizhou. In the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, it formed a commercial town and was initially called Xinchang. In the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was first called Fubao. It is the political, economic, and cultural center of the Dacao River basin. It has a history of more than 600 years since the town flourished.
