Built in 1921, Soong Ching-ling had multiple residences in Shanghai, among which two French-style buildings were his favorites. One is located at 145 Yueyang Road, and the other is at 11 Dongping Road. Both buildings feature Mansard roofs with steep slopes and windows equipped with eaves, known as ‘tiger windows’. French-style architecture emphasizes decoration and exhibits symmetrical and solemn characteristics. Open all year round, accessible 24/7.
