The Nicheng Revolutionary Martyrs Historical Site Museum (formerly known as Nicheng Revolutionary Tradition Education Base) was built in October 1986 and is located in Nicheng Town, one of the four sub-districts of Lingang New City. On August 9, 1930, one of the six major peasant uprisings in the suburbs of Shanghai, the Nicheng peasant armed uprising, took place here. This is also the hometown of revolutionary martyrs in Shanghai such as Zhao Tianpeng, Shen Qianxiang, Zhou Dageng, Jiang Wenguang, and Jiang Wenkui. Inside the historical site museum, there are monument pavilions for revolutionary martyrs, exhibitions of martyrs’ deeds, and some relics of martyrs. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year, from 08:30 to 16:00; Closed all day on Monday and Sunday throughout the year. It is closed during holidays.
