Zeya Scenic Area, known as the ‘West Yandang’ of Wenzhou. It is located in the western part of Ouhai District. It starts from Longjing Temple in the south and reaches Lingyun Temple on Lingyun Mountain in the north. It begins from Baizhang Waterfall in Mazhichuan in the east and extends to Biqi Peak on Qiyun Mountain in the west, with a total area of 130 square kilometers. There are eight main scenic areas including Zeya Lake, Zhishan, Wufeng, Qiyun, Xishan, Qipujian, Jinkengxia, and Gaoshanjiao. There are more than 200 scenic spots throughout the area. It is named for its extensive tourist landscapes. Zeya Scenic Area is famous for its majestic beauty, lushness, and landscape scenery. Within the area, there are green screens and overlapping peaks, suspended rock canyons, water curtain waterfalls, and pebble stream beaches. There are also primitive waterwheels and ancient water-powered trip-hammers. The folk customs are simple and the charm is captivating. The lush forests and green bamboos are like a sea and waves. Clouds and mist are swirling, and rosy clouds are floating. It is like an unending elegant ink-wash landscape painting. The green mountains wind along and the sea of mist drifts around. The silver stream and beautiful waters meander like a belt. The peaks are tall and straight with soaring momentum. The waterfalls pour down and congeal into green pools. Mountain villas and villages are numerous. The green mountains and clear streams are attached to each other. Mountains and waters, rocks and stones; lush greenery, clear and beautiful. The mountain scenery and water colors complement each other, presenting an infinite natural and primitive charm. The Yuankou Bridge in Zhou’ao Township, the ancient Yongning flood bridge, and the fairyland Jasper Pond. In Xianan Township, there are Longjing, Longjing Temple, and Longting. In Zeya Town, there are Maoeryu, Longkong Stone Bridge, Qiyun Spring, the ancient camphor tree at Qi Chongyan, the world’s first tree, Guanyin Pavilion, Jizhao Zen Temple, Nandou Yintan, Banling Waterfall. In Mazhichuan, there is Baizhang Waterfall (with a height of 150 meters) and the four waterfalls in Xishan. In Jinkengxia, there are stone candles, Guan Jian Gate, and stone arch bridges. In Qipujian, there are Shenluo Waterfall, Crocodile Pool, Frog Waterfall, Brave Slope, Tongyou Gorge, suspended bamboo plank road, Qianyan Corridor, Cuiping Gorge, Longhu Pool, Jiulong Pool, Sanlian Pool, Tongtian Cave, swaying rock, Eagle Perching Peak, Immortal Footprint, Wukong Welcoming Guests, and Skylight Waterfall. In Beilinxiang, there are Qiji Tree, primitive swamp, Qiyun Sacred Scenery, and Huangshan tea forest. In Wufengxiang, there are ancient stockade city walls, Lingyun ancient temple, and alpine vegetables. All of these are tourist attractions. The scenic resources are characterized by elegant waters, strange peaks, secluded valleys, clouds surrounding, strange caves, abundant forests, pleasant climate, simple folk customs, and ancient relics adding luster.
