The Southern Song Dynasty Stone Carving Heritage Park is located at Huangmei Mountain Foot, Shangshuixia Village on the east bank of Dongqian Lake. The park covers an area of 6.7 hectares. The stone carvings in the park are mainly from the Southern Song Dynasty, covering some works from the Ming and Qing dynasties. There are more than 200 stone statues in total. The Southern Song Dynasty stone carvings are known for their accurate shapes, diverse body movements and vivid expressions.
The civil officials, military generals, crouching tigers, standing horses and kneeling sheep in the park respectively represent ‘loyalty, bravery, integrity, righteousness and filial piety’, vividly reproducing the historical and cultural landscape of that time. The opening hours of the Southern Song Dynasty Stone Carving Heritage Park are from 8:30 to 17:00 every day. The daily tourist carrying capacity is 9932 people. The park is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00.
