Ding Shou An is an ancient hermitage located beneath the Great Buddha Rock. Named for its position at an altitude of over 200 meters and its proximity to the summit of the Great Buddha Rock, the hermitage has stood for centuries. Originally built during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it initially consisted of only three rooms dedicated to the worship of the Goddess of Mercy and the veneration of Saint Anqi. After enduring a hundred years of weathering, in 1996, local residents spontaneously constructed a new hermitage about 50 meters below the original site, where a white jade statue of Guanyin is now enshrined. The hermitage is open to visitors from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM all year round.
