Jiufeng Park is located at the foot of Jiufeng Mountain in the eastern suburb of Huangyan District, Taizhou City. It is 1.5 kilometers away from the city center. It was formerly Ruilong感应院 and later known as Xingshan Temple, commonly known as Jiufeng Temple. In 1869, the eighth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Jiufeng Academy was built. It is named after nine peaks: Lingtai, Wenbi, Huagai, Jieyin, Baoding, Lingjiu, Shuangque, Wolong, and Cuiping. The park was built in October 1957 and officially opened in 1959. The 13-mu Baochun Garden has four major scenic areas including plum stump areas. There are more than 500 pots of plum stump bonsai. It has won many awards in previous ‘two plum’ exhibitions and has been praised by Professor Chen Junyu, an expert on plum blossoms. He wrote ‘Huangyan plum stump astonishes the world’. In 1997, a 28-mu children’s playground was built. There are more than a dozen amusement projects such as bumper cars, pirate ships, inertial slides, rapid currents, and cruise ships. It is a medium-sized amusement park. Opening hours: Open from 8:30 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday throughout the year; Open from 8:00 to 17:30 on Saturday and Sunday throughout the year.
