Jianzhan, a specialty of Nanping City, is a nationally recognized geographical indication product. Known as the black-glazed tea bowl, Jianzhan is categorized based on the glaze texture into hare’s fur, oil drop, and other patterns. Production of Jianzhan began in the Song Dynasty.
The Jianzhan Cultural and Creative Park features an exhibition hall dedicated to the historical culture of Jianzhan. It includes introductions to master craftsmen of Jianzhan, as well as information on some of the most expensive Jianzhan currently on sale and auction.
