Zhedong Waterfall, also known as Zhedong Suspended Waterfall, is located within the Lianghuang Mountain Scenic Area in Ninghai County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. The Zhedong Suspended Waterfall was the essential path for Emperor Liangxuan to ascend the mountain when he stationed troops at Lianghuang Mountain. The canyon scenery is dominated by waterfalls, exhibiting a grand and imposing presence.
The waterfall area features attractions such as the Turtle Guardian, Hundred Types Listening to Scriptures, Macaques Paying Tribute to Guanyin, Purification Pond, Muffled Word Waterfall, Peacock Waterfall, Rainbow Waterfall, and the Seven Fairies Waterfall. Visitors can gaze at the Heavenly Gate Waterfall from afar, make wishes for health, love, and career at the Wish Pond; they can also step on the ‘Mounting Stone’ trod by Emperor Liangxuan and Xu Xiake, praying for continuous good fortune; playing in the Qingyun Spring allows one to experience the ups and downs of life; and attractions such as Hundred Types Listening to Scriptures and Purification Pond offer a sense of life’s philosophical insights.
The scenic area is open all year round, 24 hours a day, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening conditions.
