The Yushi Ancestral Hall is commonly known as the Yu’ai Ancestral Hall. It is said that in 1932, due to the frontal attack of a typhoon, the ancestral hall was completely destroyed. The Yu family members made several trips to Shanghai to raise funds with one heart and one mind, enabling the reconstruction of the ancestral hall. From the 1950s to the 1990s, the ancestral hall also served as a school (namely Yu’ai Primary School) and made contributions to cultivating talents. At present, Yu’ai Primary School has long completed its historical mission.
