Wenchang Pavilion takes advantage of its geographical location and becomes a beautiful place in Xikou Town. It is located at the southern end of Wushan Mountain and on the bank of Shanxi River. Looking south, one can see the mountain scenery of Xianan Mountain. Looking down, there is a three-mile long street. Surrounded by winds on all sides, it presents a magnificent scenery.

Wenchang Pavilion was first built in the ninth year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1731). Because it enshrines Kuixing inside, it is also known as ‘Kuige’. It is called ‘Kuige soaring to the sky’ and is one of the ten scenic spots in Xikou in the Qing Dynasty.

Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00.
