The Qingdao Temple is located on Tashan outside the east gate of Cicheng. It was built in the eighth year of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty (749). It is a place for Taoists to worship gods and immortals, cultivate their nature, and carry out various related activities.
The Tang and Song dynasties were the heyday in the history of Chinese Taoism, and it is combined with the fate of the Qingdao Temple in Cicheng. After the Yuan Dynasty, it has undergone destruction, renovation and expansion. By the period of the Republic of China, there were locust trees on both sides of the road and pines everywhere in the Qingdao Temple. There are seven floors in total of the buildings along the mountain. Pavilions, halls and palaces are distributed among them. There are countless various statues, especially the huge bell is known far and near. This building was demolished during the Cultural Revolution and is now being rebuilt.
