The Japanese Invasion and the Burning of Changling River Historical Museum began its construction in 2006 and was successfully completed and opened in 2011. Since its opening, it has been highly valued by higher authorities and has been designated as a Ningbo Party History Education Base and a Yu Yao City-level Patriotic Education Base.
The museum is divided into five themes: ‘Cultural Heritage, Rise and Fall of Home’, ‘Ancient Village of a Thousand Years, Changling’s Beauty’, ‘Japanese Atrocities, the Burning of Changling’, ‘Revolutionary Red Village, Red Lian District’, and ‘Red Memory, Golden Years’. It showcases the glorious years of the local people’s valiant resistance against Japanese aggression with documents, photographs, and physical objects.
