Located in the core area of Longshan Forest Health Town, Longshanchuanbu Village Meihua Valley, Changxing Ancient Forest Museum boasts a picturesque landscape with a forest coverage rate of over 85%, and is known as the ‘Land of Longevity’ and ‘Sanctuary of Seclusion’. The museum covers an area of more than 300 acres, integrating ancient wood appreciation, forest culture, and forest science popularization, with the theme of promoting the culture of ancient forests. The collections within the park are treasures of nature, uncarved, unpainted, and retaining their natural form, each piece is exquisite and extraordinary.
The museum features ‘Divine Woods’ from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Kunlun Mountain area; ‘Wave Woods’ from Changbai Mountain and the Songhua River, Heilongjiang River basin; ‘Black Woods’ from the Emei Mountain area of Sichuan, dating back 6,000 to 40,000 years; as well as ‘Petrified Wood, Fossilized Trees’ from countries such as China, Myanmar, Thailand, and Malaysia, which have undergone hundreds of millions of years of vicissitudes, including fossilized jade stones.
This is also the location of the plum blossom enterprise – Oriental Mei Garden, where strange stones and ancient plums are distributed, flowers and ancient woods complement each other, winding waters and cold pools are interspersed, and forest greenways surround the area, providing a quiet place for people to return to nature. Strolling through the International Garden where red plums, azaleas, roses, and crape myrtles compete in beauty, one can be captivated and immersed in the dialogue with the relics of nature, traversing time and space to experience the infinite mysteries of the origin of life, the evolution of the Earth, and the cycle of forests.
