The Mengjiao Memorial Temple is located in the heart of Deqing County and was established in memory of Mengjiao. Mengjiao (751-814 AD), a renowned poet of the Tang Dynasty, was a native of Deqing, Zhejiang. His representative work is ‘The Song of the Wandering Son’. His approach to poetry was extremely rigorous. He often pondered deeply and ventured into the risky, even with a hint of astringency. However, works like ‘The Song of the Wandering Son’ are naturally warm and intimate.
