Lamma Island Fisherman’s Cultural Village is located in the fish farming area of Sok Kwu Wan, Lamma Island. It showcases the traditional culture of the indigenous fishermen of Hong Kong and the development of the fishing industry through physical displays and interactive performances.
The exhibition halls display photographs of fishermen’s past lives, along with ancient fishing equipment and daily necessities donated by fishermen. Visitors can also enjoy demonstrations of fishing skills such as casting nets, driving fish with water stakes, mending fishing nets, and boat demonstrations. You can also experience fishing on a floating raft, pulling in large nets, or learning how fishermen cure salted fish and weave fishing nets. Opening hours are Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday from 10:15 AM to 5:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday from 10:15 AM to 6:00 PM, all year round.Lamma Island Fisherman’s Cultural Village
