The Acacia Waterfall is located on Hengqin Island in the south of Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. It originates from the top of Naobei Mountain, the second highest peak in Zhuhai City. According to records, in the 1840s, the Portuguese invaded here and once looked for a new water source on Hengqin Island. They discovered the Acacia Waterfall and sent troops to try to occupy it. The people of Hengqin organized forces to rise up and resist. After a fierce battle, they finally drove the enemy out of Hengqin Island. Today, there are still words carved by the Portuguese on the stone wall of the Acacia Waterfall, which has become a witness of history. Open all year round and all day.
