The pavilion in the glimmer of clouds and water is located beside the Broken Bridge. It is one of the famous waterside pavilions by the lake. The waterside pavilion in the glimmer of clouds and water is the starting point of the Bai Causeway and the entrance to Ge Ling. Here, one can overlook the rippling waters of the outer lake and enjoy the continuous lotus leaves in the inner lake up close. It evokes profound and far-reaching thoughts.

The people of the Song Dynasty once wrote a ci poem specifically praising the scenery here: ‘In the moonlight on the water, within the shadows of mist and clouds, towers emerge. Outside, there are sounds of flutes and music. In the clouds, there are jokes. People are in Penglai. The fragrance of heaven is secretly carried back by the wind. Nearly ten li of lotus blossoms are in full bloom. Buy a small boat, tour the south side of the mountain, and return from the north side.’

In the waterside pavilion, there is a stele pavilion for ‘Remnant Snow on the Broken Bridge’. The inscription on the stele is the imperial handwriting of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty.
