The Ancient Artifacts House, formerly known as Hu’s Residence, was originally a general store named Wu Changyuan, established in the 1930s.
Hu’s Residence, facing north to south, is a Baroque-style building adorned with Gothic and Chinese decorative elements.
After many vicissitudes, Hu’s Residence is now a municipal cultural heritage site in Wenzhou City, known as the ‘Ancient Artifacts House’ for its frequent exhibitions of residents’ antique daily items.
