The temple was originally established in the first year of the Shenlong era of the Tang Dynasty, initially named Zhongxing, later renamed Longxing, and also known as the Ancient Dragon Temple due to its construction in the year of Shenlong. The renovated temple, modeled after Tang Dynasty architecture, is elegant and simple, solemn and generous, with a unique style.
