The Anhui Geological Museum is located in Anhui Cultural and Museum Park by the beautiful Swan Lake in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province. It has a total construction area of 26,500 square meters and an exhibition area of 16,500 square meters. The new museum has six permanent exhibition halls, namely the Preface Hall, Earth Hall, Life Evolution Hall, Dinosaur Hall, Mineral and Rock Hall, and Resources and Environment Hall. It also has an atrium leisure area, a 4D science popularization cinema, a multi-functional academic lecture hall, temporary exhibition halls and an outdoor landscape area.
Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 17:00; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 09:00 to 17:00 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. From July 20, 2024 to August 31, 2024, it will be open late on Saturdays and Sundays. The opening hours are from 9:00 to 18:00 (no entry after 17:30). From Tuesday to Friday, the original opening hours remain unchanged, that is, from 09:00 to 17:00 (no entry after 16:30). Closed on Mondays.
