Anji Longchumo Grand Canyon Rafting is located in Dakeng Village, Hanggai Town, Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. With a long history, it is said that in ancient times, a monk practiced Zen and achieved enlightenment and nirvana in the upper reaches of the Tiaoxi River, leaving behind the site known as Dakeng. It is believed that divine dragons lurk and protect this area, hence the name.
The rafting course is approximately 2.8 kilometers long, with a total drop of about 128 meters, including 12 sections with drops over 2 meters and one major drop of 6 meters. The course features 17 different challenges such as Jiaolong De Shui, Qunlong Xi Shui, Yilong Dianshui, Shenlong Baiwei, Longyou Quzhao, Panlong Ruhai, Longteng Sihai, and more, with over 10 thrilling sections. The rafting experience lasts about 80 minutes and is considered one of the most exciting in Eastern China.The entire rafting journey takes place within the Dakeng Grand Canyon, preserving the original topography and pristine vegetation of the canyon, allowing visitors to experience both the thrill of traversing mountains and the serene beauty of bamboo and fir forests. Rafters descend from the mountaintops in kayaks, sometimes plunging down rapids, at other times falling into deep pools with waves crashing against the shores, akin to a flood.
Navigating through the heart-stopping rapids and shoals, with clouds enveloping the green mountains in the distance and lush trees before your eyes, the canyon’s unique rocks and cliffs on both sides create a picturesque scene. The fresh air rich in negative ions in the valley, combined with the clear stream water that exudes natural spirit, makes visitors feel as if they are riding a divine dragon through a fairyland.
Open from May 1st to October 31st, 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Rafting is highly dependent on weather and other uncontrollable factors, so it is recommended to contact the scenic area for rafting hours before departure.
