Anping Old Street

Anping Old Street, alternatively known as Yanping Old Street, is situated on the east side of Anping Fort. This historic street was constructed by the Dutch in Anping approximately 300 years ago. The architecture along the street predominantly features adobe houses, low red brick buildings, and Western-style mansions. A distinctive feature of most of these mansions is their whitewashed and pebble-washed walls.

Handmade reliefs adorn the railings, pillars, and eaves, adding a unique touch to the street’s character. Visitors can not only admire the old buildings lining the street but also indulge in a variety of special snacks, such as Zhou’s shrimp rolls, Yongtaixing preserved fruits, and Dongdong shrimp cakes.

The street is open all day, every day of the year, although the specific business status may vary depending on the day. For the convenience of all visitors, barrier-free access is provided.
