Aodang Bridge

The Aodang Bridge is the first bridge connecting the Macau Peninsula and Taipa Island. It was completed in October 1974. The bridge was originally named after the Portuguese governor as Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho. Later, as it is commonly known as the Aodang Bridge among the citizens, this name replaced the original one. The bridge, including the approach bridges, has a total length of more than 3,400 meters.

It spans across the waters between Macau and Taipa. With a large curvature, it is like a rainbow lying on the waves. Its unique design gives people an impression of both grandeur and delicacy, adding a modern touch to the ancient Macau. The bridge has a unique shape and a rich sense of rhythm, becoming one of the eight scenic spots in Macau. At night, the bridge lights shine brightly, like a string of pearls, adding a brilliant luster to the night sky of the Macau River.

In different seasons, day or night, the bridge is set off to show a beautiful figure, becoming a scenic line of Macau and also a symbol of Macau’s development. Opening hours: open all year round from 00:00 to 23:59.
