Ba Yong Tower, a key cultural relics protection unit in Zhejiang Province, has recently undergone renovations, giving it a fresh new look. The renowned poet Ai Qing personally inscribed the three characters ‘Ba Yong Tower’, enhancing the tower with a profound poetic aura.
This tower is not merely an exquisite example of ancient architecture; it is also steeped in the works of famous poets and the tales of heroic figures. Throughout history, poets and calligraphers such as Yan Wei from the Tang Dynasty, and Li Qingzhao, Lu Zuqian, and Xie Ao from the Song Dynasty have visited the tower to compose and inscribe their works. Their contributions have left a legacy of numerous celebrated literary pieces that capture the tower’s scenic beauty.
Visitors are welcome to explore Ba Yong Tower all year round, with the exception of Mondays when it is closed. The tower is open from Tuesday to Sunday, operating from 09:00 to 20:00.
