Bachuquan is located in Bachuquan Village, Xiying Town, Licheng District. Legend has it that when Emperor Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty was on his eastern campaign, he passed by this place. Exhausted from the journey, he ordered a halt. A military officer drove his spear into the ground as a horse tether, but the horse, agitated by thirst, kicked and pulled the spear out. Miraculously, a spring gushed out where the spear was withdrawn, and henceforth, the spring was dubbed ‘Bachuquan’. It is the source of the Juye River. The spring pool is shaped like a jar with a small mouth and a wide interior. Water cascades from the rocky crevices into the pool, creating a melodious sound that echoes throughout the year without cease.
The opening hours are all year round, and it is open all day long.
