At the southern foot of Yuhuang Mountain, it was originally the field cultivated by the emperor in the Southern Song Dynasty to encourage farming. Some people also think it was the suburban altar for sacrificing to heaven and earth at that time. At the latest in the Ming Dynasty, it had been finalized as the Bagua Field. Looking down from a high place, the field mound is octagonal. In the middle is a circular mound. The area around the mound is evenly divided into eight pieces. The whole field mound is shaped like a Tai Chi diagram with half yin and half yang. In addition, different plants are cultivated on the eight fields respectively. The colors and shapes change continuously throughout the four seasons, as if presenting eight trigrams. Open all year round and open all day.
